Possible courses for this coming school year
(held at Robin’s house)
• Electricity (A study of the existence, storage, and movement of charges)
We will use simple electrical circuits, a few technical and non-technical instruments and 25,000 and 100,000 Mfarad capacitors to answer searching questions about the origin and nature of charges, how and where they do or do not travel, how they affect bulbs in series and parallel circuits, the purpose of cells and batteries, the effects of resistance and conductance, flow rates and pressure changes, and the use of meters.
Level: 8-12th; This discovery lab can be added onto a physical science or full physics text.

Sem 1: Zoology (A study of the Animalia Kingdom) We will look at live and preserved organisms both under the microscope and with the naked eye, learn names and organizational classifications, study structure-function correlation, and understand their relationship to the biosphere.
Sem 2: Anatomy and Physiology We will dissect mink and/or cats, studying the skeletal and muscular systems, comparing them to human anatomy and function. We will delve into the other systems (such as digestive, cardio-pulmonary, reproductive, endocrine, and urinary) as time permits.
Level: high school, This hands-on lab can be added onto a regular biology course.
